Local inmate escapes from medical furlough

Kentucky State Police are asking for the public’s help to locate a Christian County Jail inmate who escaped from a medical furlough Monday afternoon.

Police say 19-year old Jaquavius Whitlock was on a furlough for medical treatment when he exited a family member’s vehicle and fled on foot at about 1:50 p.m.

He was last seen on South O’Neal Avenue.

He is a black male standing about 5-9 and weighing approximately 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red sweatshirt and jeans.

Whitlock was serving time for being a felon in possession of a handgun, use of restricted ammunition during commission of a felony and for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
