Christian County went one for two on Friday at the CFSB New Year’s Bash at Graves County. The Colonels edged Calloway County 54-52 on a steal and basket by Qua Chambers with just under six seconds to play. The Colonels had four players in double figures led by Stephen Bussell with 18, Qua Chambers 14 with Damikeon Mathis and Bubba Leavell each had 11. Christian County improved to 5-8 with the win and face Graves County in the fifth place game at 2 pm Saturday.
Earlier in the day, Christian County blew a nine point half time lead and fell to Paducah Tilghman 70-67.
