Austin Peay opened OVC action with a 78-63 win over Southeast Missouri. Bowling Green’s Terry Taylor had 22 points and 11 rebounds and freshman Jordyn Adams also added 22 points in the win. The Governors welcome UT Martin tomorrow afternoon at 3:30.
In the women’s game: Trailing by double-digits in the fourth quarter, it looked as though Austin Peay might be able to mount its third comeback in as many games when they cut the Southeast Missouri lead to four with 5:37 left to play, but this time the Govs came up just short, falling 79-66, in the Dunn Center. Austin Peay welcomes UT Martin for a 1:30 pm game tomorrow afternoon.
