Taylor to serve as Ky. Commissioner for Business Development

Former state Representative Jeff Taylor of Hopkinsville has been appointed as Commissioner for Business Development in the Cabinet for Economic Development by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear.

The governor made the announcement Friday noting Taylor’s experience in economic development during his career with TVA.

Taylor thanked Governor Beshear and says he’s excited to get started.

Rodney Brewer will serve as commissioner of Kentucky State Police and Mike Hancock will serve as deputy Transportation Cabinet secretary. Brewer served in the same capacity under former Governor Steve Beshear and Hancock was the cabinet secretary under the current governor’s father.

Mary Pat Reagan will serve as deputy secretary of the Education Cabinet, Ronnie Baston was appointed deputy secretary of the Justice Cabinet and Lisa Lee will return as Medicaid commissioner.
