Motorcyclist in critical condition after Clarksville wreck

The driver of a motorcycle was taken to a Nashville hospital in critical condition following a wreck in Clarksville Thursday, and a woman is facing charges.

According to a news release from the Clarksville Police Department, the wreck occurred around 10 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Fort Campbell Boulevard and Quin Lane.  A vehicle operated by 38-year old Arial Hummel was turning left onto private property when she pulled into the path of a motorcycle.

The motorcycle collided with her vehicle, ejecting the 51-year old male victim.  The victim was transported to a Nashville hospital in critical condition, and underwent surgery.

Hummel was arrested and charged with DUI—additional charges may be possible.
