WKU wins nailbiter at First Responder Bowl

Kory Munson kicked his third field goal of the day-a 52 yarder- as time expired to help Western Kentucky end the season on a high note with a 23-20 win over Western Michigan in the First Responder Bowl in Dallas today. Quarterback Ty Storey was 35-51 for 358 yards passing with two touchdowns and two interceptions for the Hilltoppers. Senior receiver Lucky Jackson caught 17 of the 35 completions for 148 yardas and a TD. WKU-under first year coach Tyson Helton-finished the season 9-4 while Western Michigan ended 7-6.
