A house is a total loss following a fire on Woody Shelton Road in Lacy Saturday morning in Christian County.
According to Lacy Volunteer Fire Department Chief Kavin Meacham, the house at 14809 Woody Shelton was fully engulfed in flames by the time crews arrived on scene around 6 a.m. The homeowner and his dog were able to escape the home, though later that morning the homeowner went to a local hospital due to difficulty breathing.
He was admitted and treated for smoke inhalation. Honey Grove Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
