The University of Evansville announced today men’s basketball coach Walter McCarty has been placed on administrative leave. According to a news release from the school, McCarty has been removed pending an investigation into alleged violations of the university’s Title IX policy. School officials say they received reports about McCarty’s off-court behavior including a recent incident that appeared to violate the Title IX policy. Bennie Seltzer will serve as interim coach and the school will not publicly discuss nor disclose any specific details related to the investigation. McCarty led the Aces to a 67-64 upset of then number one Kentucky earlier this season.
