The Hopkinsville Convention and Visitor’s Bureau has made it simple to stay up-to-date with what’s happening in the community, thanks to their social media pages and app.
Director Brooke Jung says when she entered the position, she began posting graphics about what was happening in the community on Facebook—that has been wildly popular, with the pictures proving just how much there is to do in Hopkinsville.
She says their app is constantly being updated with new events and restaurants—it’s free to download and is called Visit Hopkinsville.
Jung says the Visitor’s Bureau is funded by the transient room tax, which is when people are spending the night in hotels in the community.
For more information about the Bureau and the impact tourism has in the community, contact them via Facebook or go by the Visitor’s Center on East Ninth Street, which is open seven days a week.
