The Courier Journal reports former Louisville coach Rick Pitino and Adidas have reached a settlement in a 16 month lawsuit that led to the downfall of Pitino as Louisville’s coach. Pitino sued Adidas in October 2017, within days of his firing at Louisville alleging that the company had “knowingly and recklessly caused him emotional distress when its employees conspired to bribe University of Louisville basketball recruits.”
Terms of the settlement were not disclosed and neither side had further comment.
