Todd County Clerk Cindy O’Bryan has filed to run for that post in next year’s special election.

O’Bryan was appointed clerk for a second time in August following the death of Leslie Cunningham. O’Bryan also served a year as clerk in 2018 after former clerk Kim Chapman retired.

O’Bryan says she’s been at the clerk’s office for a little over 20 years and believes she’s ready to continue leading the office into the next decade.

There have already been some changes to modernize the office the last few years and O’Bryan says she’ll continue looking at new ways to serve the public.

O’Bryan, who resides in the Fairview area, is registered as a Democrat. The winner of next year’s elections will serve out the remainder of Cunningham’s term through 2022.

No other candidates have filed.
