Guard against driver fatigue on roads this season

With many traveling Christmas season, Kentucky State Police are warning motorists to be aware of driver fatigue.

Trooper Corey King notes it’s getting dark early and that combined with long-distance driving and a full stomach can cause any motorist to become drowsy behind the wheel.

If you feel yourself starting to become sleepy while driving, take a break and drink a caffeinated beverage.

Law enforcement agencies across Kentucky have extra patrols on roads this week looking to stop and arrest anyone driving drunk. They’re also looking for speeders, distracted drivers and those not wearing a seat belt.
