Eddyville man arrested after pursuits

An Eddyville man was arrested following multiple pursuits Saturday morning in Henderson County.

Kentucky State Police were called to assist Henderson police in attempting to stop 25-year old Jacob Moore of Eddyville, who was believed to be driving a pickup while under the influence.

He had already fled from officers and he was spotted again by KSP and Henderson County deputies on US 60. Another pursuit began and went onto several roadways, but it was ultimately terminated due to Moore’s erratic driving.

Henderson police spotted Moore’s truck parked in a Dollar General parking lot later in the morning and learned he had abandoned it and fled on foot. He was spotted driving a stolen truck and a third pursuit began, going through several yards and parking lots.

KSP eventually performed a ‘pit maneuver’ to bring the chase to a stop. Police say Moore tried to ram a cruiser before fleeing the stolen pickup on foot. A taser was used to take him into custody.

Moore was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading police, DUI, several traffic violations and he was served with a warrant for parole violation.
