A request for bond reduction was denied Wednesday morning in Christian Circuit Court for Anshanique Leavell, the woman accused in the June shooting death of Amareya’ Freeman at an apartment on Greenville Road.

Attorney Michael Thompson requested a bond amount of 10 percent of $100,000 with a matching property bond, saying that would push Leavell’s family to their limit.

Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Boling opposed the request, calling it ‘ridiculous.’

Judge John Atkins denied Thompson’s request, but asked him to bring back more specific information the next time he files a motion.

Another pre-trial conference was set for February 5.
