Two taken to Skyline following Logan Co. wreck

Two people sustained numerous injuries in a two-vehicle wreck in Logan County Monday after their vehicles collided head-on on US 431.

According to the report from the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision at US 431 South and Oakville Lane.  Investigation determined that vehicle driven by 58-year old Debra Wilson of Russellville was heading northbound on US 431 when she traveled into the southbound lane for an unknown reason.  Her vehicle collided nearly head-on with a southbound vehicle operated by 70-year old Martha Van Fleet of Cedar Hill, Tennessee.

Van Fleet’s vehicle went off the road and overturned on its hood and Wilson also left the roadway before coming to a stop in a field.  Both drivers had to be extricated from the vehicles due to the damage.

Van Fleet was transported by EMS to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.  Wilson was originally taken to Logan Memorial Hospital but was later transferred to Skyline due to her injuries.
