A Hopkinsville woman is facing multiple charges after she allegedly stole a vehicle and other items Tuesday morning.
According to Hopkinsville police report, 30-year old Heather Pepper of Hopkinsville had been involved in a disturbance Tuesday morning when she ran and allegedly stole a vehicle that was warming up in the victim’s driveway. A handgun was also reportedly in the vehicle at the time it was taken.
Pepper was later located in the vehicle at Food Lion and a traffic stop was initiated, during which she allegedly gave officers a false name of “Jessica”. The report states she was manifestly under the influence of drugs and would not tell officers where the key to the vehicle was.
Pepper was arrested and charged with felony theft of an automobile, theft of a firearm, theft by unlawful taking, giving officers a false identity, tampering with physical evidence and public intoxication.
