Cooper ruled ineligible for WKU basketball this season

The Bowling Green Daily News reports Western Kentucky transfer Kenny Cooper will not be eligible this season. The guard came to WKU from Lipscomb this summer after coach Casey Alexander left the school to become coach at cross town Belmont, but the NCAA today denied Cooper’s waiver request. He can play next year as a graduate transfer at any school. Cooper was anticipated to be the backup point guard to Tavieon Hollingsworth.
