Hoptown wins in OT, Christian County loses Thursday night

Hopkinsville downed Caldwell County 74-67 in overtime. Caldwell County had an eight point lead in the fourth quarter before Hopkinsville would take a three point lead late before Cayden Fraliex hit a three pointer to send the game to overtime.

Don Victor led Hopkinsville with 24 points, Authur McKnight added 17 and JaMarcus Burks pitched in 10. Hopkinsville is 1-1 on the season while Caldwell County is 0-2.

Christian County fell to Webster County 56-50 at Lyle Dunbar Gym. The Colonels played without post player Olajawon White due to a concussion suffered in Tuesday night’s game against Henderson County. The Colonels had one player in double figures as Stephan Bussell had 18 points with Damikeon Mathis adding 9. Christian County is now 1-1. The Colonels face John Hardin tomorrow afternoon in Elizabethtown.

Other games saw Fort Campbell edge Dawson Springs 61-59, Henderson County eased by Whitesville Trinity 53-50, Calloway County crushed Ballard Memorial 72-33 and Massac County, IL topped Graves County 57-39 at the Marshall County Hoopfest and McCracken County routed Community Christian 80-29.
