A Christian County Grand Jury returned multiple indictments Friday, including for criminal abuse, robbery and rape.
In a superseding indictment, 27-year old Ernest McLennen, 25-year old Jasmin Fennell and 47-year old Condela Hill of Hopkinsville are all now charged with two counts of criminal child abuse and six counts of first-degree wanton endangerment. Officers were notified in August of two young children under the age of 6 crying and unsupervised in the middle of the roadway on Canton Street and were able to determine they lived at a Cypress Street residence. The police reports say the home was in deplorable condition, there was no lock or doorknob on the front door, there were roaches and bugs throughout the home, there was rotten food in the kitchen and refrigerator and the flooring was extremely unstable.
Indicted for two counts of first-degree robbery, two counts of tampering with physical evidence and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon is 58-year old Tony Earl Jones of Hopkinsville, for his alleged role in the October robbery of the Car Outlet. He’s also accused of entering Family Dollar about in October and robbing an employee at gunpoint.
Also indicted for first-degree robbery and tampering with physical evidence in connection with the Car Outlet robbery is 40-year old Charles Hollowell of Hopkinsville.
Indicted for second-degree rape is 18-year old Terissa Stewart of Hopkinsville. During the course of an investigation into a reported sexual assault in September, Stewart allegedly admitted to touching and using an object to penetrate the 12-year old victim.
