Skatin’ on the Square kicks off next week

Next week in Hopkinsville the city will be filled with Christmas cheer and events, including the return of Skatin’ on the Square on Thursday and the downtown Christmas tree lighting.

Parks and Recreation Superintendent Tab Brockman appeared on the WHOP Early Bird Show Friday and says it would be difficult to not find something holiday-related to do in Hopkinsville next week.  He says Skatin’ on the Square kicks off Thursday and you can still make a reservation for a 90 minute session for $10.

He says anyone is welcome, from experienced skaters to those just learning how.

Also that night the city will light the community Christmas tree, and citizens are urged to attend and spending an evening in fellowship with others.

Skatin’ on the Square continues through December 15 and preregistration will guarantee a spot on the ice. Groups of six or more people are asked to call 270-887-4290 and a listing of available spots can be found on the Skatin’ on the Square Facebook event page.
