Local woman hurt in downtown crash

A wreck Wednesday night at East Ninth and South Main Street in downtown Hopkinsville sent a local woman to the hospital.

It happened about 11 p.m. and the report from Hopkinsville police says 31-year old Dakota McBride of Hopkinsville was southbound on South Main Street when she went through a red light at East Ninth.

She collided with a westbound car driven by 55-year old Beverly Cunningham of Hopkisnville, who had a green light.

Cunningham was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. McBride was not hurt in the crash.
