HFD, Grupo to host cookout fundraiser for local girl with brain tumor

The Hopkinsville Fire Department will be hosting a cookout fundraiser Wednesday for the daughter of a firefighter who is battling an inoperable brain tumor.

Three-year old Amillia Brinkerhoff is the daughter of Hopkinsville firefighter David Brinkerhoff and his wife, Meagan.

Hopkinsville Fire Department Captain Michael Pendleton says they are partnering with Grupo to offer $7 pork chop sandwich box lunches beginning at 11 a.m. at the plant on Commerce Court Wednesday.

He says one can call 270-498-5638 to have larger orders delivered and there has been a great response from the community already to assist the family.

There’s also a GoFundMe page that’s raised about $12,000. You can find that page here.
