Circuit Clerk’s Office to honor organ donors, recipients with Christmas tree

The Christian County Circuit Clerk’s Office will be putting up a Christmas tree at the Christian County Justice Center to celebrate those who have either been organ donors or recipients of organ donations.

According to the clerk’s office, this is to honor those who have benefited from or given to the Donate Life initiative, where family members or those affected directly can come put a Christmas ornament on the tree.  The ornament can be a picture, name, phrase or decoration.

The organization says they have no way of knowing who all has been a recipient or a donor in their lives, so they’re hoping people will put the word out.

Those who wish to put an ornament on the tree can do so at the Justice Center between the times of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
