College Football
The NCAA announced Tuesday it’s upholding postseason bans and all related sanctions imposed against Missouri football, baseball and softball teams. That includes a bowl ban for the Tigers. The NCAA penalized the school in January for academic misconduct violations. Missouri closes out the football season Friday at Arkansas and if even if they win their sixth game of the season, they will not be allowed to play in a bowl game.
The annual “Egg Bowl” game takes place tomorrow night as Ole Miss travels to Mississippi State. The Bulldogs can become bowl eligible with a win as they stand 5-6 while the Rebels are 4-7.
NFL
Tennessee Titans wide receiver AJ Brown is one of the candidates for NFL Rookie of the Week. Brown caught four passes for 135 yards and a touchdown in last Sunday’s win over Jacksonville. The Titans return to action Sunday at the Indianapolis Colts.
The traditional Thanksgiving Day games take place tomorrow. The opening game has the Detroit Lions hosting the Chicago Bears at noon, followed by the Dallas Cowboys welcoming the Buffalo Bills mid-afternoon and the evening game has the Atlanta Falcons entertaining the New Orleans Saints.

MLB.com announced today its 10 best players of the decade. Cincinnati Red Joey Votto was named as the first baseman. Votto’s consistency through the decade earned him the honor.
