An arrest warrant for burglary and assault was served late Tuesday night against a Hopkinsville man.
It alleges that on October 14, 28-year old Lewis Smith of Hopkinsville and two other male suspects entered the home of his girlfriend without her permission and began kicking, slamming and stomping the victim.
During the alleged assault, one of the suspects reportedly told another to go and retrieve a gun from their vehicle. The men fled when police were called.
Police say there were several witnesses in the home, including children.
Smith was arrested at a Bill Bryan Boulevard location and charged with first-degree burglary and fourth-degree assault.
