College Basketball

Murray State used a 4-0 run in the last 1:40 of the game to edge Weber State 69-68 at the Gulf Coast Classic on Tuesday. The Racers were led in scoring by KJ Williams with a career high 23 points, with Tevin Brown adding 19. Murray State, now 4-2, faces Drake at 12:30 this afternoon.

Women’s Scores: 14th ranked Kentucky routed Grambling 81-35, 20th ranked Tennessee thrashed Arkansas Pine Bluff 92-51 and Murray State downed Arkansas State 77-62. Former Christian County standout Trinitee Jackson played three minutes and had three points and two rebounds for Arkansas State.

The top-ranked Duke Blue Devils are unbeaten no more. Stephen F. Austin stunned Duke 85-83 in overtime last night at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Nathan Bain scored the winning layup for the Lumberjacks on a breakaway as time expired. The Blue Devils had won 150 consecutive non-conference home games, with the last loss coming in 2000.

College Football

Ohio State is the new number-one in the College Football Playoff rankings. The Buckeyes leapfrogged fellow unbeaten LSU, with the Tigers now second. Clemson remains third followed by Georgia and Alabama. Utah, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Baylor and Penn State round out the top-10. The top four at the end of the year play in the national semifinals.

The Tennessee Titans are getting set for a key clash with the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium. Both teams are 6-and-5, one game behind the 7-and-4 Houston Texans for the AFC South lead. Indy won the first meeting 19-17 in Week Two. The Titans have won four of their last five. The Colts have lost three-of-four.

The Nashville Predators go after their third straight win tonight when they welcome the Vegas Golden Knights to Bridgestone Arena. First puck drops at 7 pm.

NBA
Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies are at Fed Ex Forum tonight against the Los Angeles Clippers. Memphis has lost four in-a-row to fall to 5-and-11 on the season. The Clippers have won six straight to run their record to 13-and-5.
