Work has begun to convert a building on College Street in Clarksville into a new Barnes and Noble bookstore on the campus of Austin Peay State University.
APSU Project Manager Philip Zoch says in a news release, “It’s a 180-day construction contract time, and they’ve already gutted the building. It will be a Barnes and Noble Bookstore with a coffee shop. Upstairs, the second floor will be renovated for future APSU use.”
The building is a former car dealership at the corner of College and Fourth streets and construction should be completed in May with the 13,000-square-foot bookstore opening before the fall 2020 semester
