Man out on bond arrested for vehicle burglaries in Clarksville

Clarksville police recently arrested a man for multiple vehicle burglaries who was out on bond for an alleged home invasion.

Public Information Officer Jim Knoll says thefts were reported from multiple unlocked vehicles in the Vista Lane area on Thursday night and Friday morning and officers found 18-year old Derreyon Kendrick in the immediate vicinity.

Kendrick allegedly had the stolen property in his possession, including a handgun. He was arrested and charged with seven counts of burglary of a vehicle, unlawful carrying of a deadly weapon and possession of marijuana.

Clarksville police note that Kendrick was out on bond from an arrest in July when he was allegedly involved in an armed home invasion and was charged with numerous felonies.
