Semi hits overpass in Trigg County

A crash involving a tractor-trailer and an overpass in Trigg County closed lanes of I-24 for a short time Friday afternoon.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, a semi struck an overpass near the 67 mile marker of Interstate 24 about two miles east of the Christian-Trigg County line.  All lanes are back open, though there were some halts in traffic as the truck was retrieved.

The truck hit the KY 6068 Overpass and the driver had minor injuries.  A bridge inspector has been dispatched to run a safety check on the structure.
