A threat was found Thursday morning at Dawson Springs High School.
Superintendent Lenny Whalen sent a letter to parents saying the threat was found written on a stall in the girls’ restroom and it made reference to “shoot up the school.”
The administration and school resource officer at Dawson Springs High are investigating the threat and Whalen says there is no evidence that there is any truth to the threat.
Even so, Whalen says the school is on high alert and that there would be extra law enforcement at the building.
He says the perpetrator will be turned over to law enforcement and punished to the fullest extent of the law.
