A woman sought on warrants is facing new charges following an investigation Wednesday afternoon on South Virginia Street.
Hopkinsville police went to a home in the 1700 block of South Virginia and located 41-year old Christy Smith-Rojas of Hopkinsville, who reportedly gave permission to search the home and said anything found inside belonged to her.
An arrest citation says officers found a digital scale, empty plastic baggies, a glass pipe and a baggie of methamphetamine. Smith-Rojas again claimed ownership of all of the items and she was arrested for trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was also served with a Christian County Grand Jury indictment warrant for three counts of drug trafficking and for being a persistent felony offender.
Another person at the home, 48-year old Raul Nieves of Hopkinsville, was arrested for meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession following a search of his pockets.
