KY Secretary of State releases do’s and don’ts for Election Day

Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes has released a list of do’s and don’ts for Election Day.

She urges voters to go to govoteky.com ahead of time to verify their registration status and to be sure of their polling location.

Secretary Grimes says bring some type of identification to your polling place and let the precinct workers know if you have any questions about procedures.

She says don’t record the identity of other voters in the voting room, including through the use of cameras and cell phones. Also, the Secretary says don’t forget to thank your poll workers. It takes 15,000 to run an election, and the process would not be possible without them.

Any issues with poll workers, the county clerk’s office or complaints of potential fraud can be directed to the Attorney General’s Election Fraud Hotline at 1-800-328-VOTE.
