Beshear, Democratic candidates visit Hopkinsville in bus tour

Hopkinsville got a visit from a full slate of Democratic candidates running for state office Monday, in a final push before Election Day.

Gubernatorial candidate Andy Beshear visited with supporters at the Corner Coffeehouse along with multiple other candidates, former opponent Rocky Adkins and former Governor Steven Beshear. Speaking with the media, Beshear says he intends to speak for all Kentuckians and bring honor to the governor’s office.

President Donald Trump is in Lexington stumping for Governor Matt Bevin today, and Beshear says that this Kentucky race has nothing to do what what’s happening in Washington D.C. but with what’s happening with local families.

Sherri Donahue is running for Kentucky Auditor, and says that if elected she will focus on auditing the pension system.

State Treasurer Candidate Michael Bowman says he will bring financial experience to the office and will work in the best interest of Kentuckians.

Robert Conway is running for Agriculture Commissioner and says one of his top priorities is getting younger farms and farm families into the industry.

Heather French Henry is looking to be the next Secretary of State and says she’ll focus on improving voter turnout and strengthening election security.

Also in attendance was attorney general candidate Greg Stumbo and Jacquelyn Coleman, who is on the ticket for Lt. Governor.  Election Day is tomorrow, and the polls will be open from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m., with several local matters on the ballot.  For information on where your polling place is and more, go online to govoteky.com
