Many motorists in Hopkinsville will be glad to learn Millbrooke Drive is again open to through traffic after the new bridge over Little River was completed Tuesday.
Millbrooke had been essentially cut in half since the bridge closed for replacement on May 28, but crews finished up and opened it to traffic.
Millbrooke Elementary School Principal Ryan Amerson says motorists dropping off or picking up students should use the same entrance and routine they have been using this entire school year, the only difference will be they can turn right or left onto Millbrooke when they exit the school grounds.
The project concluded more than a full month before the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s December 1 target completion date.
