Family Dollar robbery suspect also charged in Car Outlet robbery

The man arrested for allegedly robbing the East Ninth Street Family Dollar at gunpoint Monday night has also been charged in connection with the October 18 robbery of Car Outlet on Fort Campbell Boulevard.

An arrest citation for 58-year old Tony Earl Jones of Hopkinsville says he was identified by a witness as one of the two masked men who entered Car Outlet, assaulted an employee and then fled with cash.

Hopkinsville police arrested 40-year old Charles Hollowell of Hopkinsville on the night of the crime. Both suspects are charged with first-degree robbery and tampering with evidence.

Jones is also charged with first-degree robbery for allegedly entering Family Dollar about 9:30 p.m. Monday and robbing an employee at gunpoint.
