The Christian County Sheriff’s Department arrested nine Hopkinsville residents recently during a focused effort on apprehending individuals with outstanding warrants.
According to a news release, the department arrested 48-year old James Mullen of Hopkinsville on three counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, probation violation and contempt of court. Also arrested was 46-year old Barrie Matlock and 43-year old Tracey Coleman on charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance. Twenty-five year old Spencer Clark was arrested and charged with trafficking in synthetic drugs, while 55-year old Vangela Parrish and 38-year old Gary Douthitt were both charged with probation violation.
Arrested on charges of contempt of court is 36-year old Robert Parrish and 47-year old Fred Veith was charged with failure to pay.
The operation was a proactive approach to target crime in the community—all parties were lodged in the Christian County Jail.
