The Republican candidates running for state office, including Governor Matt Bevin and his running mate, made a stop in Hopkinsville Friday evening as part of their across the state bus tour.
Supporters and citizens filled Casey Jones’ Distillery to hear the candidates speak, including Secretary of State candidate Michael Adams, who says that if elected he intends to create a neutral website that people can learn about candidates in an attempt to increase voter turnout.
Daniel Cameron, who is running to be the next attorney general, says the people have chance to vote for an attorney general who will defend laws passed by the general assembly.
Ralph Alvarado has been chosen as Governor’s running mate for Lt. Governor, and says that the administration has created thousands of jobs and will continue to do so if they win.
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee attend and spoke in support of Bevin, saying that what happens with Kentucky affects Tennessee and he wants to see Kentucky grow.
