An arrest has been made in connection with the armed robbery of the East Ninth Street Family Dollar from Monday night.
Hopkinsville police arrested 58-year old Tony Earl Jones of Hopkinsville Thursday afternoon at Peace Park and charged him with first-degree robbery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Jones allegedly entered the store about 9:30 p.m. Monday, brandished a handgun and demanded cash.
An arrest citation for Jones says he had two guns in his pockets when he was located and that a computer check revealed he is a felon.
