A Christian County Public School system administrator has been appointed to a state task force.
Director of Instruction Jessica Addison has been appointed to the new Curriculum Task Force by Kentucky Education Commissioner Dr. Wayne D. Lewis. A news release says the task force is charged with making recommendations on improving the process of developing quality curriculum for Kentucky’s public schools.
Addison is quoted as saying, “Being selected to serve on the Kentucky Department of Education Curriculum Task Force is both an honor and a humbling responsibility. Educators across the state depend on high quality, equitable curriculum in order to provide all Kentucky students with the educational experiences they deserve. I am hopeful the collective expertise of this group will inform important curricular improvements to that end.”
The task force is comprised of superintendents, district curriculum leads, principals, teachers, representatives from educational cooperatives, postsecondary faculty and others involved in education from across the state.
