An arrest was made Tuesday afternoon following a bank robbery in Marshall County.
Officials say Marshall County Dispatch received a call of a robbery at the Lake Chem Federal Credit Union in Draffenville about 3:50 p.m. and police determined a white male had entered armed with a handgun and left with an undisclosed amount of money.
He fled in a light-colored Honda and deputies with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department located that vehicle at about 4:30 p.m. stopped near the intersection of Highway 408 and US 68.
The driver, Jeffery “Michael” Tapp was arrested after evidence believed to be connected to the robbery was found in the car. Tapp was charged with first-degree robbery and tampering with evidence.
