Hopkinsville Community College is gearing up for November 1—which is when the next Hopkinsville Community College Foundation Gala and Auction is set to take place.
The fundraising event—which benefits student scholarships—will take place November 1 starting at 5:30 p.m. at the James E. Bruce Convention Center. Along with the usual items, including Kentucky Wildcats game tickets, Churchill Downs VIP tickets and passes, and more there will also be a chance to gain rare bottles of wine, bourbon and whisky from distilleries across the state and nation.
HCC president Dr. Alissa Young says, “I am excited about what our Foundation Board is doing with this great event. It is awesome to see our community come together to help our students. We are looking forward to a fun and exciting night, but ultimately, we all have the chance to support education in our community.”
The assets of the Foundation have grown in excess of $5 million dollars since 2008. For the 2019-2020 academic year, the Foundation will provide over $196,000 in support for scholarships, allied health programs and the Frances Thomas Literary Park.
