A pursuit of a stolen vehicle in Logan County Tuesday morning led to two arrests.
Russellville police were notified to be on the lookout for a 1997 GMC Jimmy stolen in Robertson County, Tennessee that had fled from police there. Officers located it and attempted a traffic stop on US 79, but police say 33-year old Mallary Porter of Smyrna, Tennessee accelerated and ran a four-way stop sign and a traffic light.
Porter eventually lost control of the SUV in the grass next to Old Lewisburg Road and the pursuit ended. Porter was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property, fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment and reckless driving.
A passenger, Timothy Gunn of Tennessee, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
