The inmate who walked away from a work release program in Muhlenberg County has been taken back into custody, according to Kentucky State Police.
A news release states that 44-year old Thomas Vaught of Central City was located and taken back into custody around 1 p.m. Wednesday on Huehls Hill Street in Cleaton, KY by the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office. He will now face additional charges in relation to the escape.
As previously reported, Vaught left the Muhlenberg County Agriculture Center sometime between 9:10 and 9:35 p.m. Monday night after stealing a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck.
