A child on a bicycle was injured when he was struck by a vehicle Thursday afternoon in Madisonville.
It happened about 4:15 p.m. and Madisonville police say the juvenile was attempting to turn south at the intersection of South Main and West Lake Street when he was struck by a car driven by 33-year old Summer Ortiz of Madisonville.
Ortiz left the scene, but was soon located and arrested.
The juvenile, whose name is not listed, was taken by ambulance to Baptist Health Hospital for treatment of injuries.
