Elkton’s annual HarvestFest is Saturday and the always popular Todd County Bale Trail is underway.
HarvestFest goes from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on the Public Square Saturday and Todd County Welcome Center Director Charlotte Myers says they’ll have all types of vendor booths and activities.
Summer temperatures are forecast to finally give way to more fall-like weather and Myers believes that will help bring out a large crowd.
Live music on the Square kicks off at 9:45 a.m. with the band “3rd Time Around,” followed at 11:30 a.m. by “Live Wire” and the featured act at 1:15 will be Alonzo Pennington.
Within walking distance of the Square, there will also be a free Children’s Fun Area from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Milliken Memorial Community House on West Main Street. It will include inflatable bouncers including an obstacle course, slides, and bounce houses.
Many who travel to HarvestFest are also likely to check out the Todd County Bale Trail—which features various creations made from bales of hay.
The Bale Trail map can also be found on the Todd County Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
