Voters in Clifty will again be able to cast their ballot close to home in the November general election.
Todd County Clerk Cindy O’Bryan told Fiscal Court Friday morning that work to bring the Clifty Volunteer Fire Department into Americans with Disabilities Act compliance has been completed and that building will host the Clifty B102 precinct in November.
Sharon Grove, Allegre, Kirkmansville and the Elkton B103 precinct will continue voting at North Todd Elementary School and Fairview voters are still at Todd County Middle School—all due to ADA compliance issues in those communities.
Judge-Executive Todd Mansfield says he believes there will be a local polling location in Sharon Grove by the 2020 May primary and they’ll continue going down the list to get people voting close to home.
O’Bryan notes the deadline to register to vote in this November’s election is October 7.
In other action, magistrates approved up to $39,000 to partner with the City of Elkton to pave the parking lot to the city-county park.
Representatives from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve organization were on hand and recognized Todd County EMS employee Stephen Haney, who is also a member of the Kentucky National Guard Reserve.
