Input from the community is still sought for the Christian County 2030 vision plan and members of fiscal court learned more about the process at their regular meeting Tuesday morning.
Taylor Hayes says an online survey remains active at christiancountyvision.org through October 7 and the Vision Plan Committee wants to know what citizens want Christian County to look like in a decade.
Hayes says all ideas are welcomed, even ones that are a little outside of the box.
He notes that big things have come from the previous three incarnations of the community vision plan.
Two people who participate will have their names drawn for a $250 Visa gift card.
Meanwhile, Christian Fiscal Court approved a resolution to use about $290,000 in County Road Aid funds to resurface 3.8 miles of Harmony Grove Road and 1.6 miles of Lewis Road.
Magistrates also filed a request for discretionary funds from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet to resurface portions of Pleasant View Acres Drive, North Ridge Drive, Old Palestine Road and Newton Lane.
Christian County Animal Shelter Director Irene Grace noted the success of the recent Spayghetti Dinner, noting the fundraising total will likely be close to $21,000 for the Get’em Done Program once all of the money is brought in.
Additional items, including vehicles, from various departments were designated as surplus property and will be included in an auction coming up Friday, October 18 at 9 a.m. at the Christian County Road Department.
