The Hoptown Harvest Fest will take over downtown Hopkinsville this weekend, starting Thursday with a concert at the Alhambra Theatre.
Voted as one of CMT’S Next Women of Country, Stephanie Quayle will fill the Alhambra Theatre starting at 7 p.m. and Holly Boggess says there will be 101 free tickets given away to military families for the event—one of the many ways they’ll be honored for their service throughout the weekend.
She says the festivities continue into Friday with the Farm to Table Dinner, which is cooked and served by local chefs and made with local meat and produce. She says there are still some tickets available, but they’re going fast.
Then on Saturday, the inaugural Hoptown Half-Marathon and 5K kicks off at 7 a.m. by Ferrell’s Snappy Service and then at 11 a.m. the Farmer’s Market and Vintage Craft Fair begins.
At noon the Military Affairs Committee Chili Cook-Off and Grilled Cheese Challenge kicks off, where the public can buy a cup for $2 and taste all the chili and vote on their favorite. From noon until 7 p.m. will be the Kentucky Bourbon Mashoree festival, which will feature a lot of live music, kid zones, vendors and more.
