A Hopkinsville man who had previously been warned to stay away from all Walmart stores following an arrest for shoplifting was arrested Saturday on a burglary charge.
Hopkinsville police were called to the Walmart Supercenter at about 6:45 p.m. Saturday after 53-year old David Lee Cooper allegedly attempted to steal merchandise and a computer check showed Cooper had been told to stay away from all Walmart stores following a conviction for a similar incident in Adair County.
Cooper was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary.
