Taste of the Pennyrile fills Bruce Center in support of Pennyroyal Hospice

The 2019 Taste of the Pennyrile packed the James E. Bruce Convention Center Friday as people eager to both eat and support Pennyroyal Hospice attended.

Thirty-two vendors, each representing different restaurants and eateries in the community, lined the space as attendees got to sample what they wished from each of them.  Elissa Tucker with Pennyroyal Hospice says that’s the most business participation they’ve ever had.

She says all money raised goes back into Pennyroyal Hospice to help support the many programs that offer and, most importantly, benefit their patients.

Attendees could also enter in for drawings to win door prizes and bid in a silent auction this year, with about 50 items to choose from.  A total amount of money raised wasn’t immediately available, but Tucker says they were very pleased with the turnout and she couldn’t thank the community enough for their support.
